How do you know you're a shoe addict?  Here are some telltale signs as identified by author Susan Reynolds (see full article here):

* You still own your first pair of black patent Mary Janes.

* You had your wedding shoes picked out by age 14.

* You've moved at least five times and have never thrown a pair of shoes away.

* You consider shoe shopping a religious experience.

* Your friends cringe when you ask them to go shoe shopping.

* You buy plain pumps at regular prices.

* You own a pair of yellow shoes.

* You check out other women's feet/legs/ankles more than your boyfriend/husband does.

* You have a closetful of shoes and only three outfits to go with them.

* You gave your mother designer shoes for Christmas.

* Your friends gave you a pillow with "Imelda Marcos Wannabe" embroidered on it.

Haven't really done a good post in a while, especially on handbags.  Been really busy, but here are some bags I came across that I really like.  What do you all think?

The SAK Fiona Top Zip in Ruby - pebble leather bag with leather accents and antique logo hardware.  I love that it has pockets, a cell phone holder, a pen holder and slots for credit cards, so I don't have to carry around my wallet inside (saving space).

Ellington Taos Hobo - I like this bag as an everyday bag; it's simple, clean and can fit almost anything I would use on an everyday basis.  For running errands or just something you want to take with you to a casual outing, it's perfect.

Elka Well Suited F5950 - This is one of those dressy business bags that looks really sophisticated and professional (especially with a well-fitting suit..which is probably how it got its name).  The barrel-shape makes it trendy, while the black leather gives it a subtle elegance that can be appreciated by any woman.

Anuschka Wide Tote - I usually don't like printed totes bags, but this hand-painted tote is just too pretty not to like.  Granted I can't wear it every day with everything, it still has a cute charm about it.  The billion pockets inside and the space is nice too, especially if you lug around as much stuff as I do!

Merrell Pacific Satchel - Although this technically isn't a handbag, I couldn't resist including it.  This bag, which resembles a simple tote bag, is actually a fully-functioning traveling tech bag!  The pocket you see on the outside is the perfect size for a passport and/or ticket to fit.  Once opened, it has nests to organize your stuff, including a giant one to hold and protect your laptop.  The pockets are made of neoprene, so it's flexible enough to fit everything.  The inside is also lined with fleece for added protection, and the outside has a waterproof bottom.  Overall I'd say it's a pretty nice bag if you need to use it for business travel.  It beats having one of those big bulky bags that scream "laptop geek", with the ridiculous amount of flaps and pockets all around it.  This one is actually a bit stylish, I'd like to think. Works for me!

Hip New Fashion Accessory 'dangle(TM)' Solves Dilemma of Where to Hang Handbag While Wining, Dining Out

No longer do ladies out and about have to face the prospect of putting their precious handbag on the floor! "dangle(TM)" is an updated version of a vintage fashion accessory that easily slips onto almost any tabletop to create a portable hook on which fashionistas can stylishly, and safely, sling their latest designer bags. Perfectly shaped in a slinky silhouette, the mod-looking dangle is available in three colors -- brushed nickel, polished chrome and glitzy gold -- and can be purchased at www.dangle-it.com.

"I was fascinated by my grandmother's vintage handbag hook, which she tells me were extremely popular in Hong Kong in the 1940's," said Belinda Leung, dangle's founder and creator. "I desperately wanted one, but couldn't find anything like it -- so I decided to create an updated version of the portable handbag hook, but with a modern day flair fit for today's fashionista."

The new dangle is a present-day solution for one of fashion's most prominent predicaments -- women spend hundreds, even thousands of dollars on a handbag, yet often find no practical place to put them while dining out at the latest hot spot, sipping cocktails at a high-top bar, or simply catching up over coffee al fresco. The lightweight and compact dangle -- each unit is 4"x2" and weighs just 2.3 ounces -- holds handbags up to 85 pounds to provide an instant safe-haven hook that works with almost any table surface up to 2.5" thick.

Attractively packaged in a brown leather case with pink lining, dangle comes with its own convenient carrying satchel and retails for $45. For more information or to purchase dangle, visit www.dangle-it.com.
